Since finding out about this photographer by simply entering a 'fashion photography' search into google, I have been really inspired. I would love to try and recreate the same kind of images as these.
The reason these photos stood out for me is because they are fashion related, on location as opposed to studio work. They are also interesting. There is a lot of detail in the background that doesn't take away from the main focal point (the model), but does make for an interesting backdrop.
He seems to generally go for a very grubby, grungy background with muted colours of greys and browns.
Its almost very industrial. And then there is a stark reality of modernism in the models clothing, pose etc.
The lighting comes across very natural. And although the locations seem dirty and scruffy, the feeling given from the models pose is of calm.
